The Future of Health: CalAIM Implementation and Beyond
Thank you for joining ITUP’s Executive Director Katie Heidorn for the second virtual LA Health Collaborative of 2021!
With the first phase of CalAIM Implementation right around the corner, this virtual event explored the preparation and anticipated challenges ahead for the Medi-Cal program.
Over the past decade, the state’s Medi-Cal Program has significantly expanded and evolved. Starting January 1, 2022, CalAIM, a proposed reformation of the Medi-Cal program, will begin for many counties across the state.
ITUP brings together county health care leaders and health plan leaders in the region to discuss their plans for the WPC transitions and the anticipated practice and policy barriers and challenges to meeting the goals of CalAIM.
In another panel, the audience heard from organizations that will be providing the Community Supports benefit (formerly In Lieu of Services) in Los Angeles County on how to make CalAIM meaningful in addressing the social determinants of health.
