Equitable access to behavioral health services is critical for all Californians, but especially to address the existing high prevalence of mental health issues among individuals within the justice-involved population. The cycle of incarceration and mental illness builds and fuels one another, further exacerbating existing symptoms and illnesses, thus resulting in worse health outcomes. This event takes place virtually on October 17, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
