Changes and Opportunities: CalAIM for California’s Older Adults and Dual Eligibles
With the first phase of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) implementation underway, this event explored which new services and supports are offered to California’s older adult population and dual eligible members, and how these new services are incorporated and aligned with California’s Master Plan for Aging from the state. In addition, local health plans shared their insights on the benefits and opportunities CalAIM offers for older adults, and community stakeholders highlighted how these new benefits and changes will impact their work.
During this event, attendees:
- Received updates from the state on the new services and supports available under CalAIM for Californian’s older adult population and how they align with the broader plan of the Master Plan for Aging.
- Learned from health plans across the state in their approach towards implementing CalAIM for this group of Medi-Cal members.
- Heard from community stakeholders on their experiences in preparing for these upcoming changes and engaging with the health plans to make CalAIM successful for older adults and dual eligibles.
