ITUP 2024 Regional Equity Collaboratives: Strengthening the Health Care Workforce for Equitable Access
Each year, Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP) hosts 11 Regional Equity Collaboratives across California, from San Diego County to Humboldt County, both virtually and in person. These collaboratives bring together diverse attendees, including community champions, community-based organizations, managed care providers, health plans, and key health care stakeholders from local ecosystems.
In 2024 the ITUP Regional Equity Collaboratives focused on addressing workforce challenges and opportunities to build a health care workforce that reflects the communities it serves. During these collaboratives, participants engaged in in-depth conversations about workforce shortages, solutions to bridge the workforce gap, and policy updates impacting equitable access to health care.
