ITUP Provides CalAIM Support in the Central Valley and Central Coast

August 31, 2022

ITUP joined Health Improvement Partnership of Santa Cruz County, Central California Alliance for Health, and Merced County Rescue Mission for an Informative CalAIM Webinar!

The CalAIM initiative is a significant step toward creating a health care delivery system that centers on a whole-person approach to addressing the needs of California communities served by the Medi-Cal program; implementation is moving forward quickly across the state. This two-hour session offered information on the CalAIM initiative and how community-based organizations can participate. Attendees included local community-based organizations; clinics; hospitals; service providers; and consumer advocates interested in participating as service providers under CalAIM.

The Goal of this Convening was to:

  1. Learn about California’s Medi-Cal program and how the onset of CalAIM implementation is going for local health partners.
  2. Expand connections between community-based organizations and the health care delivery system.
  3. Discuss actionable ways to address challenges and build successful partnerships to ensure the success of CalAIM goals and create a community and equity-centered health care delivery system.
