ITUP Broadband Bootcamp Report
Informing California’s State Digital Equity Plan
Last month ITUP, along with our partners at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR), hosted a Broadband Bootcamp aimed at identifying digital equity challenges to health. Throughout the event, participants connected on how digital equity impacts health care delivery for California communities. The event also included opportunities to learn about broadband, state-level opportunities to engage, and to directly contribute to the State Digital Equity Plan (SDEP) by planning actionable ways the health care sector can help close the digital divide and make the future of health more accessible and equitable.
This ITUP bootcamp report highlights findings from our broadband bootcamp that will be used to inform the SDEP!
Interested in Contributing to the SDEP? Attend the Upcoming Health Outcome Working Group Meeting on Thursday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Attendees will identify digital equity barriers for the state’s covered populations and develop digital equity strategies to empower outcomes in education, health, workforce and economic development, and essential service and civic participation.
