ITUP is thankful for the amazing speakers, sponsors, and attendees who made the ITUP 28th Annual Conference, Engagement Redefined: Harnessing Community Power for Equitable Health so incredible. The Conference highlighted California’s health policy leadership, such as Mark Ghaly, MD, MPH, Secretary, California Health and Human Services Agency and Mia Bonta, Chair, Assembly Health Committee.
The Conference also cultivated discussions on how to build an equitable health workforce, address the social determinants of health, advance CalAIM for justice-involved Californians, support healthy aging, and how to create and foster an anti-racist health workforce.
For two days, the ITUP Annual Conference successfully brought together various sectors of the California health ecosystem, including elected officials, policy experts, researchers, advocates, providers, health plans, and community-based organizations. The culmination of the ITUP 28th Annual Conference featured a timely discussion around what is expected in 2024, and how to prepare to make informed voting decisions for yourselves and your communities. Overall, the Conference provided a comprehensive platform for engaging in conversations on crucial health policy matters.
