Families USA Selects ITUP Executive Director Katie Heidorn as a Fellow in the latest cohort of the Health Equity Academy in System Transformation

SACRAMENTO, CAToday, Families USA announced the selection of Katie Heidorn, Executive Director of Insure the Uninsured Project, as a Fellow in their Health Equity Academy in System Transformation. The Academy trains and provides ongoing learning opportunities, strategic guidance, and technical support to leaders from communities of color and other marginalized communities.

In response to being selected, Heidorn issued the following statement:

“I am honored and excited to have been chosen as a Fellow for the Families USA Health Equity Academy in System Transformation. I look forward to gaining new ideas on how to address health equity and health disparities, as well as engaging with brilliant minds across the country in a learning community. This opportunity will assist me in bringing a health equity lens to ITUP publications and workgroups.”
