Thank you for attending the ITUP 2020 Conference!
We can’t wait to see you next year!
ITUP is thankful for the amazing speakers, sponsors, and attendees who made the first-ever virtual ITUP 25th Annual Conference, Future of Equitable Health: A Time of Crisis and Transformation, so incredible.
The conference showcased health equity leaders, including Director of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine, Daniel E. Dawes, and California’s senior health policy leaders, Dr. Mark Ghaly, MD, MPH, Will Lightbourne, Peter V. Lee, JD, and Dr. Sandra R. Hernandez, MD.
For two days, the ITUP community discussed multiple aspects of health equity through panels focused on breaking down barriers in transgender health, the impacts of police violence on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and achieving health equity for indigenous health.
Guest speakers shared on important issues such as behavioral health during times of crisis, achieving equity in telehealth and connectivity, Medi-Cal waiver innovations, reaching the most vulnerable through coverage and enrollment, and so much more!
The annual conference ended with a discussion about the future of the California budget and offered a direction on the conversations, strategies, and policy opportunities to improve health equity in California amidst a global pandemic. Thank you for helping make the ITUP 25th Annual Conference possible. We can’t wait to see you next year!
